New Zealand consolidates public procurement more than most English-speaking markets. GETS — the Government Electronic Tenders Service — is the mandatory single portal for central government RFx. TenderLink is the optional aggregator that overlays GETS with notifications and picks up the Council and private-sector RFx GETS doesn’t carry.
What it is. The mandatory portal where all New Zealand government agencies post their RFx — operated by MBIE (Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment). Required for any Government Rules of Sourcing opportunity above NZ$100k.
Access pattern. Free, registration required to register interest and download full RFx documents. Notices use the Government Model RFx — standardized structure: Notice + Sections 1-7 (Key information, Requirements, Response template, Conditions, Evaluation, Pricing, Contract).
How qlows works with GETS. Once registered, download the Model RFx bundle. qlows decomposes the standardized sections directly — Section 2 Requirements becomes the compliance grid backbone, Section 3 Response Template becomes the response structure, Section 5 Evaluation Methodology becomes the win-theme map. NZ- specific items (Broader Outcomes — Construction Skills, Reducing Emissions, Improving Conditions for NZ Businesses) surface as discrete rows.
Try qlows on a GETS RFx
Drop a GETS Model RFx into qlows and watch the Section-by-Section compliance grid build itself.
Currently in private beta. Bring a live RFx — we'll process the full Model RFx bundle and ship you the compliance grid mapped to each numbered section.
Book a 30-min demo →What it is. The NZ side of the trans-Tasman aggregator. Picks up Council opportunities (not always posted to GETS), Crown entity RFx, and private-sector RFx. Issuer-side platform for some Councils who use it as their actual procurement system.
Access pattern.Paid subscription for alerting and full document access. When TenderLink is the issuer-side platform, all RFx documents and Q&A live inside the workspace.
How qlows works with TenderLink (NZ). Identical to AusTender / VendorPanel workflow — download the bundle, ingest into qlows, get a compliance grid. Council RFx in NZ frequently reference the Local Government Act 2002 and the Council’s long-term plan — those connection-to-strategy clauses surface as discrete rows because they’re routinely under-addressed in responses.
- Discover on GETS (central government) or TenderLink (everything else).
- Register interest, download the full bundle.
- Ingest into qlows. Model RFx structure maps almost mechanically — Section 2 → requirements, Section 3 → response template, Section 5 → evaluation map.
- Route open items. Magic-link routing.
- Draft and submit via GETS or TenderLink.
Two platforms, one Model RFx. Once qlows is set up against a single Section 2, every subsequent NZ government RFx ingests in minutes — the form does most of the work.
